Pray for the Lonestar State of Texas!

 Family and friends, the state of Texas needs your prayers. We are in desperate need of rain. There are acres and acres of wildfires burning out of control, people are losing everything they own. Please stand with all of us in agreement for the rain but also for all those who are being affected by these fires. May God give them the strength, peace, and faith to carry on. God Bless Texas!

 

 

I heard today on the radio that so much land has burnt in the state of Texas. The size of Connecticut. Wow thats alot gone. 

Over 500 homes lost at last count. 


Come on rain. Please come to us.

Cold Food!

Ok I am weird. Or I should say we are weird here at Wolf Bay High. 


We love day old cold pizza oh its so good. 
Cold bacon 
Left over popcorn you made the night before. 


The list can go on and on.   


I know it sounds gross but its really is great.  


I don't know if its because all the seasonings have worked into the food or what?

Coupons! (I'm Learning)

I'm learning more and more every day about coupons.   There's a lot to learn. 

One thing is they are getting harder and harder to come by.  

I watch a lot of those programs on tv and I wonder what do they feed the children they always show rooms full of soap and toothpaste.   Not much food.  I'm sure they have fun. Just saying.

I grow up poor very poor and was taught to only buy what you need don't get any more then that. 

So, that is something I am learning to do. Its ok to buy a few extra if you have the money in the bank to do it.   But, I will not be like some of those people that have to take over rooms to put there coupon food and things in. 

I remember when my Grandma was a live.  She coupon back then and had three freezer full of meats and things.  When we had to go clean things out when they moved her to the nursing home I could believe some of the things were so out dated I mean out dated.  Like ten years or more.  All that good food had to thrown out. So, sad.


Where does one person or family get they  need that much stuff.  I don't get it. 

I  heard from other coupon people that the reason coupons are getting are hard because people are over using them and they are losing big time.  

I wish people wouldn't do that.  But, I guess its there life and we all have to have a hobby of some kind or other.   

I hope to get better at coupons and learning its ok to use  them and buy a couple more then we need to stack up some. 

Ok Mr. Sun

Ok  Mr. Sun.   I do like you but enough is enough.   I think its time for you to go shine on someone else for a while.  We will miss you and hope you come back some time later. 

Its been a long hot and dry summer down in Texas.  I know you are suppose to be careful what you wish for.  

But, I really can't tell you the last time I seen a all day nice gentle rain with some clouds in the sky. 

Seems like we live in a bubble and I want some thing different. 


 Almost like when you go on vacation to get away from everything. That is what I am telling the sun to do to go on vacation. 

My yard and flowers sure could use some days with out hot and dry.

I never thought I would ask the sun to leave for awhile but this is getting old.  Its not that we don't like you sun.  I know we have to have you to live, to make things grow.  But, we do need rain too.

School Day!

Had another wonderful school day at Wolf Bay High!..   Another week down.   Wow!  They seem to go fast this year.  

 Youngest Wolf Daughter is doing Word Power this year and they have some really big words in there. 

Youngest Wolf Daughter:  Mom when do you ever use big words. 

Mama Wolf:  When you want to impress someone.


Youngest Wolf Daughter:  Ok I think I will be simple and not impress people.  There are some big words in here. 


Mama Wolf:  Nice try but keep going some day you may use and need these words.   Keep going. 


Youngest Wolf Daughter:  Ok I will try these words out on the supper table tonight.  


Mama Wolf:  Ok!  Use them the right way.  


Youngest Wolf Daughter:  How do you know I use them right, you might not  know the words yourself. 


Mama Wolf:  I will look them up after you use them to see if you used them right if I don't know them.   ( That little girl is always one step ahead of me. )


Sure love  dictionary.com. Wonderful site to go to help us pronounce the words the right way and also gives us several definition for the word.  Helps us use the word the right way.  Great web site. Check it out if you haven't already.

Getting there!

Went to doctor again today and he said we are getting there but still have a ways to go. Wants us to do more treatment and see him in two weeks. 

Car is still in driveway waiting to get everything settle.  It all takes time.  

I am so thankful everyday none of us were killed or hurt worst.  Yes, we are in a lot of pain but hey we can handle it we are alive and kicking that's the main thing. 

Both wolf daughters are back in school and both doing great.
