Always want what we can't have!

You know we adults are here trying to teach our children to do this and do that and do it right and then we turn around and do something we know we shouldn't do.

What I am talking about is on Friday, Texas got a lot of ice and it was on the road.  The weather man was telling us for days to get ready for this one. Yea I know sometimes its hard to believe them but when they came down to the last day and said we had no way getting out this one.   Why?   can't you get ready for it? I don't understand.

There were 100's of wreck through out the state. WHY?  One, people don't know how to drive in this stuff down here.  Two, we don't have the equipment and stuff to clear the roads.

Now the weather man told everyone what time it was suppose to hit and when it hit it would come down as ice so a lot of the roads would be close.

They closed all schools, government offices, libraries, garbage pick up and that stuff a day before the storm so everyone could get ready.

Did everyone get ready?  NO  They all ( well guess I can't say all)  but a lot of them waited till the last minute to run to the store to get stuff just case the weather man was right and then when they got out of the store sure enough the weather man was right.   Now they were stuck.  Or they got in there car and try to drive away and that's what cause a lot of wrecks.

Ok now they were yelling on tv PLEASE don't go anyone if you can help it, all main roads and bridge were close.  Well there goes half the state of Texas we have lots of bridge and over passes.
Did people listen?  NO!  Once again they went sliding to there car, cleaned off the ice then got in and try driving. Ok my thought is if you slid to your car don't think the roads are full of ice.   Wow!  don't get it.  Was watching on the news that night and they were talking to a young couple who wanted to go out for pizza said it took them 20 minutes to clean the car off.  He fell 4 times doing it. Don't think you that was telling you something. Must not be.  They got in there car and wrecked it.

I know I am lost here.   I don't get it.  I know we always want what we can't have. I know we hate to be told we can't do something.
It reminds me of young child, if you want them to do something tell them the opposite.

But, I guess my point here is if we are trying to teach our children, we adults need to start listening better. Maybe there wouldn't of been so many wrecks and hurt people if a lot more people would of listen.

Sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
